Signs of Spring in Grand Haven Michigan

These were always some of Ted' favorites. I am sure they will be beautiful.
I planted these at the end of Spring last year. I think they may be pretty. Time stops for no one.
I hope that the change of season will bring some warm weather for Nikki's 14th on Saturday. The years go by too fast. Also, good news. There will be chocolate cake with chocolate icing and plenty of flowered and balloon frosting. To those in Minnesota, you may have to imagine it. I am sure Nikki is willing to share.

Karate Kids

Testing went well this morning, and both of the SLO's now have yellow stripes on their white belts. Watch out, world!!!!!
These kids have powers you don't understand. Though they are not, repeat not, serious monsters.

Tree be gone

To all those interested in my tree story. The tree has been properly disposed of. It was more expensive than offers made by the family. If I could have snapped Kelsey or Emily's roommate here, I definitely would have done it that way. Thanks for the offers. I also wanted to show our newly found sunshine, although those nasty temperatures are not giving up easily. The curse of the north.

Wind and Spring

Due to very strong winds. I am hoping it is a sign of spring on the way. It looks like I have lost a tree. Ted kept saying he did not expect that tree to make it through many more springs. I am thinking I will have to leave it be. I am thinking it is to big to even ask Jeff about, although I may show him just to show him.

As you can see, it is much warmer, but also much wetter. I may take the kids outside anyways just for some fresh air.

Younger times

I wanted to show Nikki's younger and easier days. We went to high school orientation last night. They talked about graduation requirements and ended with college requirements. They reminded the parents how the next four years will go by in a flash. I did not want to hear that. Yes, I got a little sappy. I told Leslie and Julie last night that I want Nikki to go back to kindergarden. Nikki, however seemed excited. She met with all her friends and even signed up for book club with her friend Alex. She wants to do the equestrian club also. We will see if it works out. Anyways, I needed a trip backwards. Behold, the beautiful princess girl.

The coming of Spring?

I think Spring is coming. The huge winter storm seemed to have missed us, Yaaaaa! The sunshine stayed, how awesome. The temperature however, did go down. Only 17 at 10:34 in the morning. Would prefer warmer, but us Michiganders we are appreciating the lack of snow. Hope it just gets better. Julie and I are even talking of walking when it gets to maybe 40? At the very least I am hoping to give it a try. I may even try some tanning. Not as good as Florida, but it will have to do for now.
